The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie (1969)

Oh, Maggie Smith.

This was an interesting tale about a liberal schoolteacher at a conservative school in 1930s Edinburgh. Though I loved Maggie Smith‘s performance, I found the rest of the characters to be a little stale.

If you are interested in seeing a great film in “The Prime of Miss Maggie Smith,” watch Love and Pain and the Whole Damn Thing (1973). Playing opposite Timothy Bottoms, it is a truly beautiful story.

Merrr. Three stars.
